Sunday 18th June saw the courts full of juniors all keen to take part in the Club Junior Doubles Tournament. We were delighted to have 12 pairs playing, from age 7 up to 15 and including 4 girls pairs this year. Some of the pairs faced big challenges, but without exception, all the juniors played well and in the spirit of good sportsmanship. After the first round, some pairs were knocked out and the remaining players all played again, culminating in some exciting and well fought semi finals and finals. Our eventual champions are Ben Giddens and James Smith, with Matt Golding and Jack Osborne runners up. The photo shows our 8 semi finalists. Well done to all who took part and especially to our new Junior Doubles Champions. |
